Hello, friends! 

We’re into a new month! The spotlight for my December blog posts is going to be… My characters having a Christmas Karaoke Party! (cue the unnecessary capitalization to make it sound all official and stuff.)

Brace yourselves, because we’re going FULL ON meta this month! If you’ve been following me for a while, you might have scene scenelettes tagged as ‘meta,’ meaning that the characters are aware of themselves as characters. Click Here for more info on my MetaSpace.

For the month of December, I thought it would be fun to take the characters in my books and make them sing Christmas songs together. Throughout the month, I’ll be posting scenelettes showing my darlings practicing their musical numbers, meeting new friends from other books, and being adorable angst muffins in Santa hats.

You’ll see fan favorites from:

Because this is a special event, I’ll be posting more than usual (yay!) Here is the schedule…

• 12/6 – Swipe Right – The cast of Selected use a phone app that will match them with their Karaoke party. Serian is way more excited than everyone else.

• 12/7 – Song Friends – Willow and Jasper show up to see the cast list for the songs. But in MetaSpace, things are always needlessly complicated. (but also very cute.)

• 12/9 – Intros and Reunions – Zabby finds her group for ‘Step Into Christmas,’ and is surprised to find it contains an old friend.

• 12/12 – Nope. – Nallain and Onrey aren’t in a song together, but that doesn’t stop the kid from hiding out in Nallain’s house when his first meeting took a bad turn.

• 12/14 – Oh Holy… What?? – Bethany hosts a meeting for the members of her ‘Oh Holy Night’ group, and quickly learns that her responsibilities extend way beyond finger sandwiches.

• 12/16 – Step into Costumes – The ‘Step Into Christmas’ group has some decisions to make about costumes and choreography, and of course… singing… 

• 12/19 – Reinforcements – Ava is unfamiliar with her assigned song and turns to two musical sisters for help. And it seems more help might be on the way!

• 12/21 – The Stage – It might be a party for singers, but Ellsie will be spending it doing what she loves best: dancing. But this will be the first time she’s done it on a stage.

• 12/23 – Singing and Signing – Having a teammate fluent in sign language brings a new twist to this group’s choreography

• 12/26 – Ba Da Da Dum – Deveron and Galien are trying to get ready, but it’s hard when Serian won’t stop… wait, are those farm animal noises??

• 12/28 – Sunlettes – One of Kaeya’s teammates seems to be lacking more than just Christmas spirit. Luckily, Kaeya didn’t get to be The Alchemist without knowing a few tricks.

• 12/30 – Ready, Set, Sing! – It’s party time! Come and see what my lil babies have been preparing this month!
